The Luther Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 41 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 63-22 win over Kew Forest on the road. With Luther ahead 46-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Luther's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lenny Cruz, who scored 15 points. Gavin Vestal was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists.
The victory got Luther back to even at 7-7. As for Kew Forest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Luther won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Waldorf at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Kew Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
