While it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, the Skyline Eagles were not quite the Highland Rams's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. Skyline was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Highland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Skyline saw an underclassman step up: Mia Johnson almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chloe Quinn, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Skyline dropped their record down to 5-15 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Highland, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-16.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing West the next time they take the court. Skyline will host West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Highland will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
