Council Grove extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Brycen Palmquist. The Council Grove Braves came out on top against the Wabaunsee Chargers by a score of 58-48 on Saturday thanks in part to Palmquist, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 25 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season.
The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Buchman, who went 6 of 9 en route to 13 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.
