First Academy has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the All Saints' Academy Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. First Academy will be strutting in after a victory while the Saints will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, First Academy beat the Lions 30-18.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead First Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Molly Beliveau, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Beliveau has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Weaver, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, All Saints' Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 39-11 loss at the hands of Bell Creek Academy. While losing is never fun, All Saints' Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 682nd, while the Panthers are ranked 330th).
First Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8. As for All Saints' Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
