The Andrews Wildcats won the last time they faced the Tuscola Mountaineers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Andrews narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tuscola 46-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Andrews.
Andrews' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jailen Powell led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Rattler, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Andrews' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tuscola, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrews won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hiwassee Dam at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Tuscola, they will head out on the road to face off against Andrews at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
