Los Amigos hasn't had much luck against Anaheim recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lobos will head out to challenge the Colonists at 3:15 p.m.
Friday just wasn't the day for Los Amigos' offense. They lost 9-0 to Santiago on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Lobos' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sophia Gutierrez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
Anaheim never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Santa Ana Valley on Friday. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Colonists, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Abby Barajas made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Mak Acosta was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kamila Ramirez was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Anaheim always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Anaheim has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Los Amigos, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Los Amigos has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Anaheim struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Los Amigos might still be hurting after the 11-2 loss they got from Anaheim in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Lobos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
