Blair is 2-8 against San Marino since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blair Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the San Marino Titans at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Blair's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Temple City scored an imposing 72 points on Wednesday, Blair still came out on top. Blair strolled past Temple City with points to spare, taking the game 91-72. Given Blair's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Temple City is ranked 801st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Blair found their leader in underclassman Timmy Anderson, who scored 52 points along with seven assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least a third of Blair's points. Serigne Deme was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds.
Meanwhile, San Marino didn't have too much trouble with Monrovia at home on Wednesday as they won 61-45.
Blair is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for San Marino, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.
Blair was able to grind out a solid win over San Marino when the teams last played on January 10th, winning 74-67. Will Blair repeat their success, or does San Marino have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
