Clearview has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Oberlin The Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-19, which was the final score in Clearview's tilt against the Wildcats on Wednesday. Clearview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-4.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, Oberlin was not quite the Cardinals' equal in the second half on Wednesday. Oberlin fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 40-38.
Clearview has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Oberlin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
Clearview was able to grind out a solid victory over the The Phoenix when the teams last played back in January, winning 47-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clearview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
