Arrowhead and Oconomowoc are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Warhawks will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Raccoons at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Arrowhead barely beat Eau Claire Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warhawks never let the Old Abes get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhawks.

Tanner Buhlmann looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Yamato Takahashi was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Cam Carter, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Oconomowoc got the win against Sun Prairie West on Monday by a conclusive 15-8.
Chris Last looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Luke Schlosser was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Marek Bolson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Arrowhead pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Oconomowoc, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Arrowhead hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. However, it's not like Oconomowoc struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Arrowhead's way against Oconomowoc in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Arrowhead made off with a 10-4 win. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Raccoons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
