After three games on the road, Warner is heading back home. They will take on the Julian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Warner is ranked 1278th, while Julian is ranked 1284th).
Warner suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of San Pasqual Academy by a score of 49-46. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Warner in their matchups with San Pasqual Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Warner got a solid performance out of Angel Carachure, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Carachure has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Omar Acosta was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Julian came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 60-48 win over Calexico Mission.
Warner's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Julian, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Warner strolled past Julian in their previous meeting on January 9th by a score of 55-41. Will Warner repeat their success, or does Julian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
