There's no place like home for the Harding Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Ursuline by a score of 53-46 on Saturday. The victory was just what Harding needed coming off of a 51-16 defeat in their prior matchup.
Harding found their leader in underclassman Akeelha Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Azarriah Phillips was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Harding now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Ursuline, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harding will face off against Beaumont School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Beaumont School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday. As for Ursuline, they will head out on the road to face off against Salem at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
