Westwood was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Norwood on Monday. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 15-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Bridget Mulkeen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
