The Clear Fork Colts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Clear Fork at home against the Fighting Scots as the team secured a 53-19 victory. Given Clear Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Fighting Scots are ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cardington-Lincoln was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past the Cubs 50-17 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Cardington-Lincoln has managed all season.
It was another big night for Abigail Hardwick, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Celia Hall, who scored nine points.
Clear Fork has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Cardington-Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
Clear Fork was able to grind out a solid win over the Pirates in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 45-32. Does Clear Fork have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
