Plainfield and Martinsville pushed the score to 50-37 the last time they played Martinsville, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Quakers walked away with a 14-7 victory over the Artesians. Those 14 points were actually the fewest the Quakers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Plainfield pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.6 points over those games. As for Martinsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Plainfield and Martinsville are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Quakers will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Palestine at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. Plainfield will need to watch out since the Dragons have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. As for Martinsville, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Artesians will be up against the Woodmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.44 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
