This season hasn't been kind to the Maryvale Panthers, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were beaten by Dobson 88-16 on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Maryvale in their matchups with Dobson: they've now lost five in a row.
Dalia Valdez was Maryvale's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Maryvale bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.7 points per game. As for Dobson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Maryvale and Red Mountain will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Red Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Dobson, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
