Pinson Valley held off Moody in a 5A Region 6 match up, winning 53-34. Nick Gibson exploded for six touchdowns and 368 yards for Pinson Valley.
Hayden made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,435 from 11,073. The improvement was the result of a 54-31 victory over Curry last week.
6-foot-2 quarterback Devlin Hodges of Jordan is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,332. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Terrell Martin. The Moody star has 29 catches for 603 yards.
The Wildcats led the league in scoring this week by notching 54 points on the Yellowjackets.
