After a string of four wins, St. Paul's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Lakeview Vikings. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-15.

Katlyn Oakley paced St. Paul's offense, picking up ten kills. Oakley got some help from Zaya Lewis and her 19 assists.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Lakeview, they pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

St. Paul and Lakeview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings. The Wildcats will face off against Doniphan-Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (38 vs. 156). Meanwhile, Lakeview (ranked seventh) will meet Crete (ranked 168th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
