Orono had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 12-48 to Mattanawcook. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Orono will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Ellsworth/Sumner at 7:00 PM. As for Mattanawcook, they will face off against Mount View.
