One team took the elevator way up and another took it way down in the power rankings this week. That and more in this week's report.
Welcome
Century repeated its 45-point performance from the game before for another record-booster in its most recent game. It took its game against North Hagerstown by a confident 45 - 13 score. That 32-point margin marks the most Century has won by all season. Thanks to its success, Century cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 18th spot.

It was a battle of top-notch squads when Calvert Hall (6th in the MaxPreps state rankings) took on Riverdale Baptist (22nd) last week. Calvert Hall was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverdale Baptist, winning 23 - 13. The triumph raised Calvert Hall up one spot in the power rankings.
Movin on Up
Franklin claimed most-improved honors this week by climbing the power ranking ladder 15 rungs after its game against Smyrna. Franklin claimed a 28 - 14 victory over Smyrna. Franklin gave the Smyrna offensive line some real trouble with five sacks (and will no doubt be looking to keep the pressure on Kenwood this Friday).
No Stoppin 'Em
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 83-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Elkton enjoyed a cozy 50 - 33 win over Rising Sun. Hopefully the victory is satisfying enough on its own since Elkton actually slipped five places in the power rankings.
