The Hernando Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Northside Christian Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Hernando Christian Academy took a serious blow against Academy at the Lakes, falling 43-12. Hernando Christian Academy has struggled against Academy at the Lakes recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Hernando Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Azadee Mottahedeh, who scored 5 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Miles, who scored 2 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Northside Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Indian Rocks Christian by a score of 47-38.
Northside Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Sydney White, who scored 14 points, and Rilee Knight, who scored 16 points.
Classical Prep's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Hernando Christian Academy's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.
Hernando Christian Academy suffered a grim 47-21 defeat to Northside Christian when the teams last played back in January. Can Hernando Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
