Molina is 10-0 against South Oak Cliff since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Molina Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the South Oak Cliff Bears at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Molina has three straight wins, South Oak Cliff has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Molina kept a clean sheet against Jefferson. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0. Given Molina's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Jefferson is ranked 645th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Molina was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Nevaeh Gonzalez and
Aubrie Ramos, who scored both of Molina's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 26 so far this season.
Meanwhile, South Oak Cliff suffered a tough 6-1 loss at the hands of Sunset on Tuesday.
Molina is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 9-1-2 record this season. As for South Oak Cliff, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Molina took their win against South Oak Cliff when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Molina since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
