Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Has No Trouble Against West Windsor-Plainsboro South

After only two runs in their last matchup, Notre Dame made sure to put some runs up on the board against West Windsor-Plainsboro South on Monday. The Irish put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 10-1 win. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.

Mike Shipula was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Cutrupi, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double.

Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for West Windsor-Plainsboro South, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will challenge Allentown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Windsor-Plainsboro South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopewell Valley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
