Wellington had lost seven games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 6-6 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Clearview Clippers by a score of 13-9. With that victory, the Dukes brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Gabe Toth and Trey Moore were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Toth didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Moore tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Toth also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wellington is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise. At the plate, Toth went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Moore went 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was Toth's first of the season.
