Basketball Recap: Milford Has No Trouble Against Clio

On Tuesday, everything went the Milford Mavericks's way against the Clio Mustangs as the Milford Mavericks made off with a 38-16 win. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Clio still got an impressive performance from Ellie Neuhaus, who posted nine points in addition to five rebounds and five blocks. That was a full 56.3% of Clio's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Milford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.7 points per game. As for Clio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milford will head out to square off against South Lyon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clio, they will face off against Brandon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Clio is facing Brandon at the right time seeing as Brandon is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
