Madison is 9-1 against Harding since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Streaks will face off against the Skippers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Madison has four straight victories, Harding has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Madison beats Harding with 12 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Blue Streaks were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over Lakeside on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Streaks, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ben Amos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and three stolen bases.
In other batting news, NathaN YarNell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted over his last nine games. Another player making a difference was Eddy Gvora, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Madison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeside only managed six hits.
Mathews hit Harding with a nine-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Skippers came up short against the Mustangs, falling 11-1.
Harding saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Harless, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Ethan Psenak also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Madison's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Harding's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Madison hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. It's a different story for Harding, though, as they've only averaged .224. Will they be able to contain Madison's hitters?
Everything went Madison's way against Harding in their previous matchup on Thursday, as Madison made off with an 18-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Streaks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
