The matchup between the pair wasn't particularly close, with the Bears falling 28-10. Their defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Lake Zurich still got an impressive performance from Chris Pirrone, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Among those leading the charge was Logan Abrams, who rushed for 146 yards and four touchdowns.
Lake Zurich's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Cary-Grove, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 11-2 record.
Lake Zurich does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cary-Grove will face off against East St. Louis at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in East St. Louis' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
