Skyview's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carlos Carillo, who threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and Ronin Lund, who picked up 204 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 416 passing yards gave Volf a new career-high. Niwot's leading receiver Eli Quesada was Volf's top target yet again, picking up 217 receiving yards and four scores.
Skyview's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Niwot, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyview will host Fort Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
