Volleyball Recap: Stony Point Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jullia Howser and Kierra Hernandez

Stony Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles.

Stony Point's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kierra Hernandez, who had 15 digs and nine assists, and Jullia Howser, who had 16 digs and seven assists. With that strong performance, Howser is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game. Denariah Bosier also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
