The Mt. Enterprise Wildcats will stay at home for another game and welcome the Colmesneil Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. One thing working in Mt. Enterprise's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Even though Mt. Enterprise has not done well against Gary recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Mt. Enterprise snuck past Gary with a 57-53 win.
Mt. Enterprise found their leader in underclassman Kaegan Ash, who scored 31 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Ash has scored at least 25% of Mt. Enterprise's points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Durrett, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Colmesneil's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 61-48 to Kennard.
Mt. Enterprise's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Colmesneil, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Mt. Enterprise strolled past Colmesneil in their previous meeting back in January of 2021 by a score of 71-56. Does Mt. Enterprise have another victory up their sleeve, or will Colmesneil turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
