Kermit is 0-8 against Stanton since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kermit Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Stanton Buffaloes at 6:30 p.m. Kermit is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kermit beat Crane 36-30.
Kermit found their leader in underclassman MICHAELA CAZARIN, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleixa Lara, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Stanton, as they earned their first road win of the season. They breezed by Tornillo on the road to the tune of 43-5. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Stanton has managed all season.
Kermit now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Stanton, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
Kermit was taken down by Stanton 45-18 in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kermit was down 25-5.
