The Enloe Eagles will head out to challenge the Millbrook Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Millbrook took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Enloe, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Enloe got the win against Broughton by a conclusive 12-5. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Capitals: they've now won seven in a row.
Avery Modlin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Modlin was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Enloe got a massive performance out of Madison Haga, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Haga has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Watson, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Millbrook unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Athens Drive by a score of 8-6.
Alayna Pitman made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brynn Herman, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Enloe's record is now 8-4. As for Millbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Enloe skirted past Millbrook 4-3 in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
