Softball Recap: Old Lyme Has No Trouble Against Portland

Old Lyme came out on top against Portland on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Highlanders. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Old Lyme's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for Portland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Old Lyme wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-2 victory against Haddam-Killingworth on the 24th. Portland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
