Baldwin is 3-0 against Seneca Valley since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Baldwin Highlanders will be home for the holidays to greet the Seneca Valley Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Baldwin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 263 points over their last four contests.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Baldwin ultimately got the result they hoped for last Friday. They walked away with a 67-56 win over Fox Chapel. Given Baldwin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Fox Chapel is ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Seneca Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 54-50 to Fox Chapel. Seneca Valley has struggled against Fox Chapel recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Baldwin pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Seneca Valley, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Baldwin skirted past Seneca Valley 54-52 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Does Baldwin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Seneca Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
