It was a good run, but The Oak Hall Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. Their rough 48-22 defeat to Master's Academy might stick with them for a while. Oak Hall was down 34-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Oak Hall's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Briggs Copeland, who picked up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown. Copeland was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Brower, who rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Oak Hall's loss dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Master's Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2.
Oak Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Master's Academy is also done with their season.
