The Garces Memorial Rams will square off against the Frontier Titans at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Garces Memorial is coming into the  game hot, having won their last six games.
Garces Memorial is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They breezed past Stockdale to the tune of  48-0 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rams' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 545th).
Garces Memorial's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Mark Gomez, who threw for 254 yards and three  touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score.  Colby Dilly helped  Gomez out on the ground, rushing for 82 yards and one  score.
 Another reason for the win was Garces Memorial's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Sylvester King,  Haydn Thacker,  and  Quinlan Kronfeldt, who each picked up one  sack apiece. Garces Memorial got some further help from  King: he picked up  a  sack and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Frontier and Liberty meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Friday. The Titans walked away with  a   32-20  victory over the Patriots.
 Frontier's win came from a few key players Garces Memorial will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Malcolm Watkins, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one  TD, and also punched in one  touchdown on the ground. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 60 yards. Another back making a difference was  David Riley, who rushed for 53 yards and a pair of  scores on only five carries.
 Frontier picked up their first road  win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Garces Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
