After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Piedmont, The Shawnee Wolves were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-7 victory over Southeast. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Shawnee's zero-point performance the matchup before.
Shawnee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deetrick Beavers led the charge by rushing for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Zyron Campbell was another key contributor, throwing for 185 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Shawnee's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Southeast, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Shawnee will head out on the road to face off against Guthrie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Guthrie's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Shawnee has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Southeast will take on Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
