The Wilson Tigers waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over Hartsville. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Wilson has posted since January 5th.
Wilson found their leader in underclassman Logan Murray, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Murray hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Ariana Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Despite the loss, Hartsville still got an impressive performance from Brooke Mitchell, who shot 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mitchell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tatiana Fisher, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Wilson pushed their record up to 17-6 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hartsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.
Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hartsville also has no future games currently scheduled.
