Devontae Sanders and Jared Curtis were among the main playmakers for Nashville Christian as the former rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry and the latter threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns. Sanders was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. Bryson Holt was in the mix too, providing Nashville Christian with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it five two weeks ago. They came out on top against Jackson Christian by a score of 27-17.
Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Lekhy Thompkins, who rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown.
Nashville Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 8-2 record.
Everything came up roses for Nashville Christian against Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 42-7 win.
