Softball Recap: Lake Gibson Has No Trouble Against Discovery

While Lake Gibson put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Discovery. The Braves were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Spartans. Considering the Braves have won six games by more than 12 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory got Lake Gibson back to even at 7-7. As for Discovery, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Lake Gibson will host Lakeland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Discovery, they will head out to face off against Lakeland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
