Volleyball Recap: Maumee Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Maumee had won three straight road games and Julia Coutcher did her part to make it four on Thursday. Everything went the Panthers' way against the Eastwood Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory thanks in part to Coutcher, who had 24 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Maumee never let Eastwood on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Eastwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Stella Cheblowski had 17 digs and three aces.

Maumee's record now sits at 12-8. As for Eastwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Maumee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Otsego on the 7th. As for Eastwood, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Fostoria on the 7th.
