The Glen Rose Beavers will head out to  challenge the Carlisle Bison  at 5:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Having struggled with four  losses in a row, Glen Rose  turned things around against Two Rivers  on Wednesday. They blew past the Gators 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won seven games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 G Hood was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  runs and one  triple. He is becoming a predictor of Glen Rose's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 3-10 when he doesn't).

 In other batting news, Glen Rose got a  massive  performance out of  P. Long, who  got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Long a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  W Stanley, who  went 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Carlisle, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Palestine-Wheatley  1-0. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Bison as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Glen Rose's record is now 9-10. As for Carlisle, their record now sits at 20-7.
 Glen Rose might still be hurting after the  12-2 defeat they got from Carlisle  when the teams last played  back in March of 2022. Can the Beavers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
