It was a proper cat-fight when Sebastopol challenged Meridian on Saturday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Kadence Robertson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs.
In other batting news, Sebastopol got a massive performance out of Marlee Smith, who scored two runs while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave Smith a new career-high. Cyrish Magculang was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Sebastopol and bumps their season record up to 19-2. As for Meridian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Sebastopol will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
