The Centennial Coyotes will head out to take on the Arcadia Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Arcadia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Centennial, who comes in off a win.
Centennial is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over Ironwood on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Coyotes with their most commanding win of the season.

Xavier Escontrias made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has become a key player for Centennial: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-10-2 otherwise. Escontrias was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Dennis Carey was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Blake Baehr was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Arcadia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saguaro.
Brock Segui was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Arcadia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nico Leale, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
The victory made it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 8-11-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Centennial got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Arcadia by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
