The Rutland Hurricanes lost against the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Rutland's rough 34-14 defeat to Academy for Classical Education might stick with them for a while.
Kaleb Scarbary looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Academy for Classical Education also got a significant boost from Aaron Davis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.
Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Academy for Classical Education, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Rutland will take on Kendrick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kendrick is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will head out on the road to face off against Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
