Laney Williams and Emma Wallace certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Williams posted 14 points along with six steals and five assists, while Wallace scored 19 points and three steals. Williams has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 36 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hodge, who earned eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
Foard's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jessica Bailey, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Bailey continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Sophia Rhoney was another key player, putting up 11 points and six steals.
Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Foard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.
