After two games on the road, Galway is heading back home. They will take on the Wells Wells CSD at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Galway is ranked 769th, while Wells is ranked 765th).
Last Friday, Galway came up short against Mayfield and fell 50-42. Galway has not had much luck with Mayfield recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, even though Indian Lake Central scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, Wells still came out on top. Wells managed a 64-59 victory over Indian Lake Central. The victory was just what Wells needed coming off of a 80-60 defeat in their prior game.
Wells got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Brooks out in front who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Brooks hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Passmore, who scored ten points along with nine assists and eight rebounds.
Galway's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-13. As for Wells, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
Galway beat Wells 54-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Galway repeat their success, or does Wells have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
