Baseball Recap: Interlachen Has No Trouble Against Williston

After only two runs in their last match, Interlachen made sure to put some runs up on the board against Williston on Tuesday. The Interlachen Rams put the hurt on the Williston Red Devils with a sharp 12-5 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Interlachen let Rodney Blackwelder and Cason Turner run wild. Blackwelder scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Turner scored two runs while going 3-for-5. What's more, Turner posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Robert McCumbers also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Interlachen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

With the win, Interlachen broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6. As for Williston, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coincidentally, Interlachen and Williston will both be playing Bradford the next time they take the field. Williston will head out to face Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Interlachen will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
