John Paul II Catholic won the last time they faced Coastal Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the John Paul II Catholic Saints' way against the Coastal Christian Centurions as the John Paul II Catholic Saints made off with a 15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won three matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Adam Donofrio was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, John Paul II Catholic let JT Williams and Max Mason run wild. Williams went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Mason scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs Mason has posted since back in April of 2024. James Donofrio was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

John Paul II Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.

John Paul II Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. Coastal Christian is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, John Paul II Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coastal Christian, they will be playing at home against Greenfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
