Enochs is a perfect 10-0 against Modesto since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Enochs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Enochs took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over Downey. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the game before.
Kaylee Ruiz looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aleahya Brown, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lillian Camarena, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Enochs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Modesto's offense. They lost 10-0 to Turlock on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Enochs pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Modesto, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
Modesto's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Enochs has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Modesto, though, as they've been averaging 10.8 hits. Given Enochs' sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Enochs got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Modesto by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
