Southern Choctaw got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyller Nicholson out in front who rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 22 yards and one TD. Those 144 rushing yards gave Nicholson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ray Bender, who rushed for 47 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Southern Choctaw was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McIntosh only rushed for 117 rushing yards.

McIntosh also got a significant boost from Jayden Brown, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 96 yards.
